Village Style Gluten Free Granny Smith Apple Crumble Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 7 large granny smith apples (peeled and diced 5X5cm)
  • 120gm castor sugar
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 60gm sultanas

Crumble topping:

  • 180 gm YesYouCan Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix
  • 100gm brown sugar
  • 125gm unsalted butter
  • 60gm silvered almonds ( optional)

Directions:

  • Pre heat oven to 180 C or 160 C fan forced
  • Place apples, sugar, lemon juice and sultanas in a bowl. Toss to combine and place in a greased 15cm X 10cm ceramic oven proof baking shallow tray. Level the apples well
  • To make crumble, place the YesYouCan Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix, sugar, butter in a food processor and pulse for a few seconds until it resembles a crumble mix
  • Add almonds (optional) and mix by hand
  • Sprinkle over apples
  • Bake for 50 mins until golden brown and crisp and the apple is tender.
  • Serve with ice cream or pouring cream
